1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures for a Cath Lab requiring CRT, fluoroscopy certification, and 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience. Details Cath Lab unit performing cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM On-call required approximately 6-7 days per month, including one weekend per month Performs active radiographic interventional procedures using sophisticated cardiovascular imaging equipment Requirements 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience required, minimum 3 years preferred for specialty consideration CRT and Fluoroscopy certification required RT license in state of practice required, license required if applicable BLS certification from an approved vendor required ARRT certification preferred Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required, Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology preferred Cerner and EPIC experience must be noted if applicable Additional Information Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization Positions and immobilizes patients using head and shoulder braces following specified protocols Assists physicians with specialized procedures and exams Enters technical imaging factors and filming sequences per protocol Manipulates x-ray tube and examining table position per physician instructions Initiates automatic contrast injections and activates fluoroscope and cinefluorography equipment to guide catheter placement Provides patients with procedure explanations and discharge instructions Monitors multichannel data analysis system for blood pressure, cardiac output, and respiration during procedures Alerts physician to changes in patient condition during imaging Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius rule Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered Candidates with a prior licensure action will not be considered
