Aspen Valley Hospital seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic MRI exams in a community-focused, patient-first setting. You'll operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and providers. Responsibilities include patient screening, positioning, image acquisition, documentation, and adherence to safety and infection-control standards. Responsibilities Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring image quality and patient safety Screen patients for contraindications, explain procedures, and obtain informed consent Position patients correctly, using immobilization and comfort measures as needed Monitor patients during scans, recognizing and responding to adverse reactions or emergencies Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to optimize diagnostic outcomes Document procedures accurately in the EMR and maintain detailed imaging records Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and hospital compliance standards Assist with workflow coordination, scheduling, and exam prioritization Participate in continuing education, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills MRI scanning protocols Operation of MRI equipment Patient positioning and immobilization Patient screening for MRI safety Contrast administration support Radiology
