As a CT Technologist, you will perform a variety of technical procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, using your independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. In this role, you will: Perform all required radiographic procedures, including X-rays and Fluoro, and operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs. Position and immobilize patients on examining tables, ensuring precise positioning and following protocols specified by the Radiologist. Administer contrast media orally and/or IV as ordered by the referring physician or Radiologist. Enter technical data into the scanner computer and start the CT scanner to scan designated anatomical areas. Monitor patient safety and comfort, ensuring the quality of images produced. Transport patients according to their physical abilities and use positioning aids to produce quality exams. Maintain all records according to X-ray Department policies and procedures, and ensure rooms are cleaned and restocked following each examination.

Requirements for this position include:

Registered/certified CT Technologist with satisfactory completion of formal radiology technology training in an AMA-approved school. ARRT registration and BLS Certification required. Need 2 years experience in setting. Physical ability to perform tasks involving considerable walking, standing, bending, and lifting of patients and equipment.
