Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or experienced Paraprofessional to a welcoming school environment near Bristol, CT. This contract opportunity offers full-time hours (31 hours per week, 8am-3pm) where you'll make a meaningful difference supporting students on the Autism Spectrum and those with behavioral challenges. Ideal candidates have a strong background in special education, especially providing direct 1:1 and classroom support. Your commitment and compassion will empower students to achieve their goals throughout the school day.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid RBT certification or paraprofessional experience At least 2 years of previous work in behavior support or special education settings Solid understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and common behavioral strategies Ability to collaborate with teachers and school teams to carry out behavior intervention plans Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to student growth Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both students and staff
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for students with behavioral or developmental needs Facilitate classroom inclusion and work in collaboration with general/special educators Implement and record behavioral interventions and data collection Assist students with daily routines and transitions throughout the school day Help create and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment Communicate effectively with instructional teams and families regarding student progress This role offers competitive pay ($18-24/hr) along with robust benefits including insurance and eligibility for a 401k plan.
