r42619-06441 Job Description Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) 1:1 Elementary Support | Higganum, CT 06441 ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Higganum, Connecticut. This position involves providing 1:1 behavioral support to a 2nd-grade student in an elementary school setting. The ideal candidate will be patient, dependable, and comfortable implementing behavior strategies while building a positive and trusting relationship with the student.

ASAP Student & Behavioral Support The student may demonstrate aggressive behaviors, including a tendency to: Bite Kick Punch The RBT will provide consistent 1:1 support, implement established behavioral strategies, and help promote a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 behavioral support throughout the school day Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed by the supervising BCBA or school team Follow established behavior and safety protocols Collect and document behavioral data as needed Support the student's participation in classroom activities and routines Help teach and reinforce appropriate replacement behaviors Maintain a calm, patient, and consistent approach Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and behavioral professionals Communicate student progress and behavioral concerns with the appropriate school team members Qualifications Active RBT certification preferred/required based on school requirements Previous experience working with children or students with behavioral needs preferred Experience supporting students with aggressive behaviors is a plus Ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations Strong communication, patience, and reliability Comfortable providing hands-on 1:1 student support in a school environment Benefits Through ProCare Therapy Competitive weekly compensation Full-time W-2 employment Comprehensive benefits package 401(k) options available Dedicated recruiter support throughout your assignment Ongoing support from the ProCare Therapy team Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on an elementary student's success If you are an RBT looking for a rewarding full-time school-based opportunity where you can provide meaningful 1:1 support to a student, wed love to connect with you!
