This role is based onsite near Waterbury, CT, and is ideal for an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or a highly qualified paraprofessional with proven experience in autism-specific classroom settings.

Key Qualifications:

Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required for RBT applicants Paraprofessionals must have current or previous experience working in Autism Program Classrooms Comfortable and experienced working with children ages 5-6 presenting with severe Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Confident in assisting with toileting and changing diapers as needed Ability to build trust and rapport with young children needing specialized behavioral and emotional support Reliable, professional, and able to commit to a full-time, onsite assignment through the end of

October Responsibilities:

Provide consistent behavioral and instructional support to students within dedicated Autism Program Classrooms Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and other professionals to implement individualized behavior intervention plans Assist with daily routines, including helping students with hygiene needs and personal care tasks Foster a nurturing environment that encourages growth, learning, and safe expression for children with complex needs Track and document student progress, noting significant events and communicating observations to the appropriate team members Joining this assignment gives you a chance to work alongside passionate educators, gain valuable experience, and help bridge services for students while permanent staff are onboarded.
