The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality diagnostic images. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform MRI scans according to established protocols and physician orders. Ensure patient safety by screening for contraindications to MRI procedures. Explain the MRI process to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while maintaining their comfort. Operate MRI equipment and perform routine maintenance checks. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for diagnostic evaluation. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed. Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during imaging procedures. Qualifications Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program or equivalent training. Certification in MRI technology from a recognized professional organization (e.g., ARRT). Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team. Familiarity with aseptic technique practices in a clinical setting.
