Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging for accurate diagnosis and patient care. In this role, you will operate CT scanners, follow imaging protocols, and ensure patient safety and comfort while collaborating closely with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff. You will verify orders, prepare and position patients, administer contrast media as ordered, and monitor for adverse reactions. This position requires adherence to radiation safety standards, accurate documentation in the EMR, and supporting a compassionate, patient-centered environment aligned with HCA Healthcare's culture of teamwork, learning, and integrity. Responsibilities Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment safely and effectively Verify patient identity, review history, and obtain informed consent as needed Position patients and immobilize as necessary to obtain diagnostic images Administer IV and/or oral contrast under protocol and monitor for reactions Apply radiation safety and ALARA principles for patients and staff Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and repeat studies when required Accurately document procedures and charges in the
EMR/RIS/PACS
systems Communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and care teams Maintain exam room, equipment cleanliness, and readiness; report malfunctions Required Skills CT imaging operation and protocols Radiation safety and ALARA principles Patient positioning and immobilization IV insertion and contrast administration Cross-sectional anatomy and pathology recognition Use of
