Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform high quality diagnostic imaging exams in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will prepare and position patients, operate radiologic equipment, follow physician imaging protocols, and ensure accurate image capture for diagnosis. The role includes verifying patient identity, maintaining radiation safety standards, documenting procedures in the EHR, and collaborating with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members. You'll support quality assurance, maintain equipment, and provide compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with HCA Healthcare's values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams according to physician orders and department protocols Prepare, position, and instruct patients to ensure accurate and safe imaging Operate radiologic equipment, including digital X-ray and fluoroscopy units Adhere to ALARA principles and all radiation safety and infection control standards Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain relevant clinical history Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and repeat exams when necessary Accurately document procedures and charges in
PACS/EHR
systems Assist radiologists and providers during specialized or fluoroscopic procedures Maintain imaging equipment, rooms, and supplies; report malfunctions promptly Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other team members to support coordinated patient care Required Skills Diagnostic radiography Patient positioning Radiation safety (ALARA) Operation of digital X-ray/fluoroscopy equipment PACS/Image management Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Anatomy and radiographic pathology recognition Infection control procedures Basic life support (BLS) Radiology exam protocols and order interpretation
