Job Summary Dr. G's Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate CT Technologist to join our growing healthcare team. The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations in a fast-paced urgent care environment while providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and clinical staff. The CT Technologist will operate CT imaging equipment safely and efficiently, obtain diagnostic-quality images, follow established protocols, and ensure patient safety throughout the imaging process. This position plays an important role in supporting our providers with timely and accurate diagnostic imaging to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Responsibilities Operate CT imaging equipment safely and accurately to produce high-quality diagnostic images while following established imaging protocols and radiation safety standards. Prepare patients for CT examinations by explaining the procedure, obtaining necessary information, positioning patients appropriately, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam. Room patients efficiently and assist with patient flow in the urgent care setting. Obtain and document accurate patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation, as required. Follow all radiation safety protocols to minimize unnecessary exposure to patients, staff, and yourself. Verify patient identification, exam orders, clinical history, and appropriate imaging protocols prior to performing examinations. Assess patients for potential contraindications to CT procedures and contrast administration and promptly communicate concerns to the medical provider. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of imaging procedures, patient information, contrast administration, and other required clinical information. Provide timely imaging services for urgent and emergent cases while maintaining accuracy and attention to patient safety. Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff regarding imaging findings, patient concerns, and any issues that may affect the examination. Ensure CT and other imaging equipment is operated properly and safely. Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment malfunctions or technical concerns promptly to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging area in accordance with infection-control and workplace safety standards. Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality. Assist with other clinical duties within the scope of training and licensure as needed to support the urgent care team. Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and excellent customer service in all interactions with patients and staff.
