Responsibilities Operate MRI scanners and other diagnostic imaging equipment with precision, ensuring high-quality image acquisition for diagnostic evaluation. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the scan. Perform additional imaging procedures such as DEXA scans for bone density . Maintain strict adherence to equipment safety procedures and infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and patient safety regulations. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize imaging protocols and ensure accurate diagnostic results. Manage image storage and retrieval using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), ensuring proper documentation and data security. Monitor patient vital signs during procedures, respond promptly to any adverse reactions, and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care. Skills Proficiency in operating MRI scanners along with experience DEXA scans,. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles to accurately perform imaging procedures. Ability to demonstrate excellent patient care skills by providing clear instructions, maintaining a compassionate approach, and ensuring patient comfort. Familiarity with medical equipment operation, equipment safety procedures, and radiation safety standards essential for high-quality imaging. Knowledge of PACS systems for image management and understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes to support clinical decision-making. Basic life support (BLS) certification to respond effectively in emergency situations involving patients undergoing imaging procedures. Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a focus on patient safety regulations and quality standards.
