Position Summary The Radiologic Technologist assists physicians in performing minimally invasive, fluoroscopy procedures and other imaging modalities. This role requires advanced technical skills, sterile technique, radiation safety expertise, (ALARA) and close collaboration with physicians and the procedural care team to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality patient care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical and Procedural Support

• Assist the physician during image-guided procedures (e.g., angiograms, angioplasties, venograms, stent placements, dialysis access interventions)
• Operate fluoroscopy equipment (C-Arm)
• Prepare procedure room, equipment, and supplies according to case requirements
• Maintain sterile field and assist with draping, instrument handling, (circulating in the procedure room), and contrast administration
• Perform patient positioning and ensure imaging quality throughout procedures
• Assist with inventory management and operating the Autoclave (sterilizing surgical equipment) Patient Care and Safety
• Verify patient identity, procedure consent, and site prior to intervention
• Explain procedure to patients and provide reassurance throughout the exam
• Monitor patients during procedures and report changes in condition
• Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA) for patients, physicians and staff
• Follow infection prevention and sterile technique standards (exposure to blood, body fluids)
• Properly wear and adhere to all required personal equipment (PPE) guidelines Equipment and Technology
• Operate and troubleshoot PACS, annual lead apron scan
• Ensure proper handling, storage and documentation of contrast media and medications (as permitted by scope of practice)
• Perform equipment checks and report malfunctions promptly
• Assist with quality control and image optimization Documentation and Compliance
• Accurately call out contrast usage and radiation dose metrics
• Maintain compliance with ARRT, state licensure requirements
• Participate in quality assurance, and perform improvement initiatives Team Collaboration
• Communicate effectively during procedures to anticipate provider needs
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure efficient case flow
• Participate in pre-procedure time-outs and post procedure handoffs, (ensuring patient is not bleeding at access site after procedure, patient is safely transported back to wheelchair/ stretcher) Qualifications
• Associates or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology from an accredited program
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT).
• State licensure as required by Florida State Law
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required Experience
• Five years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist (Hospital experience preferred)
• OR minimum of 1-2 years of experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or vascular imaging Skills and Competencies
• Knowledge of fluoroscopic imaging and anatomy (willing to train)
• Proficiency with sterile technique and interventional supplies (willing to train)
• Critical thinking and situational awareness
• Ability to work in fast paced environments
• Communication and teamwork skills Physical requirements
• Ability to assist with patient transfers and positioning
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, wearing lead protective equipment Work Environment
• Outpatient Dialysis Vascular Access Center
• Exposure to radiation and bloodborne pathogens (within regulated safety limits)
• No ON Call
