2987666100-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Wellstar is seeking a Lead CT Tech to provide expert diagnostic imaging and frontline leadership within our patient-centered, not-for-profit health system. In this role, you will perform complex CT exams, oversee daily workflow, and ensure adherence to radiation safety and quality standards. You'll mentor technologists, coordinate with radiologists and nurses, and support process improvements that enhance patient experience and outcomes. This position offers exposure to advanced imaging technology, ongoing education, and career growth across Wellstar's Georgia facilities. Responsibilities Perform and oversee CT imaging procedures following physician orders and safety protocols Lead, mentor, and schedule CT technologists to ensure efficient department operations Verify patient identification, history, and screening for contrast and radiation safety Operate and troubleshoot CT scanners and related imaging equipment Ensure image quality, accurate positioning, and timely delivery of studies to radiologists Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and radiation safety standards Coordinate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to optimize patient care and workflow Support training, competency assessment, and continuous education of CT staff Monitor supply levels and assist with equipment maintenance and quality control Contribute to process improvement, patient satisfaction, and safety initiatives Required Skills CT imaging procedures Radiation safety and dose optimization Operation of CT scanners and PACS/RISPatient positioning and immobilization IV contrast administration and screening Quality control and image quality assessment Workflow coordination and staff scheduling Regulatory and accreditation compliance Electronic medical record documentation Emergency response and patient monitoring
