Wellstar is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our patient-focused imaging team in Marietta, GA. In this role, you will perform high-quality MRI examinations using advanced technology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include preparing and screening patients for MRI safety, positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, monitoring image quality, and collaborating closely with radiologists and care teams. You'll also maintain detailed documentation, follow strict safety and infection control standards, and support continuous quality and process improvement across our integrated health system. Responsibilities Perform high-quality MRI scans according to physician orders and established protocols Verify patient identity, obtain medical history, and screen for MRI safety contraindications Position patients safely and comfortably while explaining procedures and addressing concerns Operate MRI equipment, monitor image quality, and adjust techniques as needed Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians to coordinate patient care Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and exam logs in electronic systems Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and MRI safety policies at all times Inspect, clean, and troubleshoot MRI equipment; report issues for timely maintenance Support training of new team members and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives Uphold Wellstar's patient-centered, compassionate care and service standards Required Skills MRI scanning protocols Operation of MRI equipment Patient positioning and immobilization Patient safety and MRI screening Radiology information systems (RIS) Picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) Infection control procedures Contrast administration basics Anatomy and physiology for imaging Basic life support (BLS)
