Fort Jesse Imaging Center is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our patient-focused team in Normal, IL !
Position Status:
PRN Schedule:
As needed for staffing coverage
Shift Opportunities:
Saturdays, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, with occasional weekday evening shifts
Location:
Fort Jesse Imaging Center - Normal, IL We offer competitive pay, shift differentials for qualifying shifts, a 401(k) company match, and no on-call or holiday requirements . Job Summary The MRI Technologist performs MRI exams while providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care in an outpatient imaging setting. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and advanced MRI exams following established protocols. Prepare, position, and monitor patients throughout their exams. Review physician orders and patient history to ensure appropriate imaging. Start IVs and administer contrast or medications as appropriate. Ensure MRI images meet quality standards for interpretation. Follow all MRI safety procedures and screening requirements. Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Educate patients about procedures and answer questions. Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records. Assist with quality assurance activities and equipment/supply readiness. Maintain clean, organized, and prepared exam rooms. Work collaboratively with other technologists and imaging center staff. Assist in other areas of the imaging center as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Apply today for immediate consideration!
Requirements:
Education & Requirements Associate degree in Radiology or completion of an accredited two-year radiology program. Current ARRT (Radiography) or ARMRIT registration required. MRI advanced registry required upon hire for IDTF centers or within 12 months of employment for non-IDTF centers. Must meet applicable state licensure requirements. Skills & Abilities Knowledge of MRI procedures, protocols, and safety standards. Ability to operate MRI and related imaging equipment. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills. Strong patient care and communication skills.
