POSITION SUMMARY
The Mammography Tech performs all mammography procedures while under the general supervision of a licensed practitioner for the purposes of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders at a technical level not requiring constant supervision and within the scope of their license and according to established standards and practices of the American College of Radiology and Mammography Quality Standards Act. QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Completion of a radiography program with associated certificate or degree
Licensure/Certification:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Techs) Radiography(R)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Techs) Mammography(M) within 18 months of hire date
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) Licensure as a registered radiologic technologist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association (BLS for HealthCare Providers)
