Key Responsibilities:
Operate CT scanning equipment to produce diagnostic images per physician orders. Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after scans. Apply appropriate imaging protocols and adjust techniques based on clinical indications. Verify patient identification and review medical histories to confirm procedure necessity and minimize risk. Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate accurate and efficient diagnoses. Maintain imaging equipment and adhere to strict safety, infection control, and privacy protocols. Accurately document procedures and maintain organized patient records using electronic medical systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification as a CT Technologist from an accredited program. Valid ARRT (CT) certification required. Active state licensure as mandated. Proven expertise in operating CT imaging technology in a clinical setting. Excellent communication, organizational, and patient interaction skills. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ability to manage workflow and prioritize urgent imaging needs.
