Category Imaging - Mammography Job Type Contract This contract opportunity offers a dynamic role in the imaging department, specifically focused on mammography. The assignment lasts 13 weeks, providing a chance to work in a supportive environment where technical skills and attention to detail are valued.
Schedule:
Five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday No on-call, weekend, or holiday shiftsQualifications:
Current BLS certification ARRT(M) registration in Mammography Valid Kansas Radiologic Technologist License Proficiency in breast imaging procedures, including additional, spot compression, and magnification images Experience with Meditech or similar EMR systems preferredKey Responsibilities:
Perform mammography procedures as ordered by physicians using appropriate radiographic equipment Explain imaging processes and procedures clearly to patients, ensuring a comfortable experience Complete all necessary patient communications and documentation in accordance with MQSA, FDA, and ACR standards Ensure timely and accurate entry of charge information and detailed recordkeeping for mammography and related services Routinely evaluate image quality, obtaining additional images as needed to ensure diagnostic accuracy Prepare daily schedules by locating prior exams and reports, coordinating with radiologists, and verifying orders Maintain quality assurance standards, participate in quality control and accreditation processes, and manage related documentation Provide preventive maintenance on imaging equipment and monitor its operation Support the imaging department as a general Radiology Technologist when mammography work is not required This role offers a valuable chance to contribute to patient care while expanding your imaging experience in a collaborative setting.
