Position Overview Facility is seeking an experienced Registered Radiologic Technologist to join its Radiology team. This role is ideal for a technologist with strong general radiology experience who is comfortable working with patients across different age groups and providing high-quality diagnostic imaging in a pediatric healthcare environment. The technologist will be responsible for patient preparation, positioning, imaging, radiation safety, image quality, and patient education while maintaining appropriate infection-control and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and produce high-quality images that meet departmental, organizational, and industry standards. Operate radiology imaging, computer, and related equipment safely and effectively. Apply knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to obtain appropriate diagnostic images. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and explain procedures clearly. Respond appropriately to patient questions, concerns, and needs. Position patients accurately according to the examination being performed. Select and apply appropriate imaging techniques and protocols. Apply radiation safety principles and protective devices to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. Maintain awareness of age-appropriate communication, safety, education, and developmental needs. Follow infection-control procedures and quality-control standards. Assess image quality and make appropriate technical adjustments when necessary. Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation. Provide safe, compassionate patient care throughout the imaging process. Support and/or train radiologic technology students when assigned. Perform other related duties as required. Required Qualifications Experience 2+ years of general radiology experience required. Strong knowledge of general diagnostic radiography. Experience with patient preparation, positioning, imaging techniques, and radiation safety. Certifications & Licensure ARRT(R) certification required BLS certification required Kentucky Radiologic Technologist license required KY license may be obtained after offer , per the position requirements. Education Formal education requirements are not separately specified by the client; candidates must meet the education/eligibility requirements associated with ARRT(R) certification and Kentucky licensure.
