What You Will Do:
Perform high-quality radiographic and CT imaging studies in accordance with established protocols while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and diagnostic accuracy.Essential Job Functions:
- Performs radiologic procedures following unit-based standards of practice.
- Positions patients, sets exposure factors, and produces high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepares and maintains exam rooms per BRGMC Safety Guidelines.
- Utilizes immobilization devices and ensures patient safety and comfort.
- Operates radiographic and CT equipment safely and accurately.
- Prepares contrast media and administers when permitted by policy.
- Explains procedures to patients, reduces anxiety, and ensures cooperation.
- Recognizes adverse reactions and communicates promptly with staff and physicians.
- Demonstrates age-specific care and clear communication.
- Performs CT scans including patient positioning, scan setup, and image acquisition.
- Maintains CT room, equipment, and supply inventory.
- Performs daily QC tests and documents radiation safety compliance.
- Accurately charges procedures and maintains regulatory readiness.
- Completes required education and maintains licensure and CPR.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
