Duties Operate radiologic imaging equipment including X-ray, CT, fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, PET scans, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology procedures with precision and care Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and applying aseptic techniques when necessary Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself during all imaging activities Collaborate with medical teams to perform diagnostic evaluations across emergency room settings, urgent care clinics, and trauma centers Assist in specialized procedures such as interventional radiography and nuclear medicine studies while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards Maintain detailed documentation of imaging procedures, patient information, and equipment calibration records Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of radiologic imaging equipment to guarantee optimal performance and safety compliance Skills Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles ARRT and State License Proven experience with emergency room procedures, Level I/II trauma center protocols, and urgent care environments Proficiency in operating a variety of medical imaging equipment including X-ray machines, CT scanners, fluoroscopy units, mammography devices, DEXA scanners, PET scans, and nuclear medicine technology Strong understanding of radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection measures effectively Ability to perform diagnostic evaluation using advanced radiologic techniques such as interventional radiology and fluoroscopy Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to addressing patient needs during stressful or urgent situations Familiarity with medical equipment operation and troubleshooting for radiologic imaging devices Knowledge of aseptic techniques necessary for invasive procedures and maintaining sterile environments during interventional radiology interventionsEmbark on a rewarding career where your technical skills meet compassionate patient care!
