MRI Technologist Position Description:

Peninsula Imaging is currently seeking a full time MRI Technologist for our outpatient imaging center in Salisbury, MD. The successful candidate will excel at customer service and team-work. MRI Lead/ Imaging Director Job Summary:

Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including MRI procedures, and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities.

Professional Requirements:

Meets dress code standards; appearance is neat and clean. Completes annual educational requirements. Maintains regulatory requirements. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time. Consistently completes and maintains assigned duties; maintains PAR levels. Wears identification while on duty; uses computerized punch time system correctly. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Provides excellent customer service and teamwork. Actively participates in performance improvement and continues quality improvement (CQI) activities. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the organization, as well as the focus statement of the department.

Skills:

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English Additional languages desirable Basic computer knowledge Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology Possesses a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy Proficiency with most major MR equipment manufacturer's hardware and software

Regulatory Requirements:

Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT MR certification Current BCLS certification preferred
