Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Travel CT Technologist, where your expertise in advanced radiologic imaging will make a meaningful difference in patient care across diverse clinical settings. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work in various hospitals and clinics, applying your specialized skills in computed tomography (CT) and other medical imaging modalities. As a vital member of our mobility program, you will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services while adhering to radiation safety protocols and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures including CT scans, PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology procedures with precision and attention to detail. Operate complex radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself during all imaging processes. Collaborate with emergency room teams and participate in urgent care scenarios, providing rapid diagnostic evaluation for trauma and critical cases. Assist in specialized procedures such as interventional radiography and interventional radiology interventions, maintaining aseptic technique throughout. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to optimize imaging techniques tailored to each patient's needs. Deliver compassionate patient care by explaining procedures clearly, ensuring comfort, and maintaining professionalism in fast-paced environments like Level I trauma centers or emergency rooms. Qualifications Proven experience in urgent care settings, emergency room environments, or Level I trauma centers with a strong background in diagnostic radiology. Proficiency in operating a variety of medical imaging equipment including CT scanners, PET scanners, mammography units, DEXA machines, fluoroscopy units, and nuclear medicine cameras. Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection protocols effectively. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology understanding, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience with interventional radiography procedures and aseptic techniques required for invasive imaging interventions. Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments while maintaining high standards of patient care and technical accuracy. Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent), with additional specialization in CT preferred.
