Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams in a fast-paced healthcare environment. In this role, you will operate radiologic equipment, follow physician orders, position patients safely, and ensure accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment. You'll maintain radiation safety standards, verify patient identification, and document procedures in the EMR. Collaborating closely with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care while upholding HCA's standards of integrity, teamwork, and continuous learning. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic exams according to physician orders and protocols Position patients safely and accurately to obtain optimal imaging results Operate radiologic equipment and ensure image quality and appropriate exposure Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles for patients and staff Verify patient identity, obtain history, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety Document exams accurately in PACS and EMR systems Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to support patient care Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean and ready state Follow infection control and hospital safety policies at all times Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Diagnostic radiography (X-ray) Patient positioning and immobilization Radiation safety and ALARA principles Operation of digital imaging systems (DR/CR) PACS and EMR documentation Contrast administration support and monitoring Infection control and universal precautions Basic patient assessment and vital signs Radiology quality control procedures Communication with physicians and clinical staff
