Description Job Summary Under supervision, performs a variety of complex radiology examinations, imaging procedures/treatment, interventional diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the interventional radiology, cardiac cath lab, or electrophysiology lab areas according to radiology practice standards. Also assists in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned. Provides-on call and callback coverage as required. Job Responsibilities
- Performs basic to complex quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician in Interventional Radiology, Neuro Interventional Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Electrophysiology lab.
- Sets up sterile table, assembles necessary instruments, catheters, guidewires, and contrast materials according to procedure requirements.
- Assists Radiologist/Neurologist/Cardiologist with catheters, guidewires, balloons, coils, and treatments.
- Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan and implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
- Completes documentation as required to comply with policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
- Completes assigned goals.
