Category Imaging - Interventional Radiology Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced healthcare professional with expertise in Interventional Radiology to support patient care within a dynamic hospital environment. This position requires strong clinical skills in both Imaging - Interventional Radiology and nursing functions specific to Interventional Radiology, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient patient outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
RN license in good standing, with experience in Interventional Radiology nursing Demonstrated knowledge of imaging protocols, equipment, and safety standards in Interventional Radiology Proficiency in assisting with vascular, neuro, and other interventional procedures Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Outstanding communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, including assessments and patient education Administer and monitor conscious sedation and patient responses during procedures Operate and troubleshoot specialized imaging and monitoring equipment Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique during invasive procedures Document patient care activities and procedural notes accurately in the electronic health record Respond promptly to emergencies or complications using clinical judgment and protocols Provide post-procedural care, monitor for adverse reactions, and ensure safe patient recovery Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety programs This opportunity is ideal for candidates seeking to contribute specialized knowledge in a fast-paced, collaborative medical setting.
