Mercy Urgent Care is looking for a compassionate and motivated Radiologic Technologist Assistant to support our mission of providing exceptional, patient-centered care. Position Overview:
This is a cross-trained PRN role combining imaging support, clinical support, and front desk responsibilities. You will assist with radiology workflows while also helping with patient care tasks and registration duties as clinic needs change. This role is ideal for a student currently enrolled in a certified Radiologic Technology program who wants hands-on experience in a fast-paced urgent care setting. If you prefer a narrowly defined radiology-only role, this position is not the right fit.
Key Responsibilities:
Radiology and Imaging Support Perform imaging using CR and DR equipment within training and scope, following ALARA and other radiation safety standards Support safe, accurate, and efficient imaging workflows while prioritizing patient comfort and quality of care Process radiology reports and help ensure diagnostic images meet quality standards Help maintain patient safety by reducing unnecessary radiation exposure and following established imaging protocols Clinical Support Assist with clinical tasks such as vital signs, EKGs, spirometry, drug screens, and other patient care workflows within training and scope Support providers and clinical staff during splinting, bandaging, and minor procedures Help prepare rooms, support triage flow, assist with referrals, and contribute to efficient patient movement through the clinic Front Desk and Patient Access Greet patients warmly and help create a supportive, welcoming experience Support front desk and registration workflows as needed, including patient communication and basic administrative tasks Help maintain accurate documentation and patient confidentiality in the electronic medical record Clinic Operations and Safety Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment Work collaboratively with team members across clinic functions to support daily operations Uphold Mercy Urgent Care s mission, values, professionalism, and patient-first service standards in all interactions
Qualifications:
Current enrollment in a certified Radiologic Technology program required Strong communication skills and comfort working with patients in a fast-paced setting Willingness and ability to cross-train in clinical support and front desk duties Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail Knowledge of HIPAA standards and commitment to patient confidentiality Physical ability to perform medium work, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50lbs, with reasonable accommodations as needed What We re
