Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Active RN license with good standing Demonstrated experience in Interventional Radiology nursing Proficiency in imaging equipment and protocol relevant to IR procedures Strong assessment, IV placement, and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS certification strongly preferred Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills Ability to remain calm and focused in high-acuity situations
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure monitoring Assist radiologists and technologists with advanced imaging-guided therapies and interventions Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient status during procedures Maintain meticulous documentation of care, medication administration, and patient responses Ensure the highest standards of infection prevention and radiological safety Support and educate patients and families regarding procedures, aftercare, and follow-up plans Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
