  • 75/hour Job Summary Vantage Vascular is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Scrub Technologist to assist our Interventional Radiologist during outpatient vascular and image-guided procedures.
This is a hands-on procedural scrub role . The primary responsibility is to scrub into cases, maintain the sterile field, and directly assist the physician throughout the procedure. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Interventional Radiology, vascular procedures, cardiac catheterization, endovascular procedures, or a similar procedural environment and should be comfortable handling wires, catheters, sheaths, needles, embolization materials, and other interventional devices. This position does not require operation of fluoroscopic imaging equipment . Key Responsibilities Scrub into interventional radiology and vascular procedures and directly assist the physician at the sterile table. Establish and maintain a sterile procedural field. Prepare procedural trays, sterile supplies, devices, and equipment before each case. Prepare and hand the physician wires, catheters, sheaths, needles, balloons, embolization materials, closure devices, and other procedural equipment. Assist with wire and catheter exchanges and device preparation during procedures. Anticipate physician needs throughout the procedure to maintain an efficient procedural workflow. Maintain familiarity with commonly used IR and vascular devices and supplies. Assist with room setup and turnover between procedures. Ensure proper handling and organization of sterile instruments and procedural supplies. Track supplies and devices used during each case. Maintain and organize procedural inventory, including wires, catheters, sheaths, embolic materials, closure devices, and other disposable supplies. Monitor inventory levels and notify appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered. Maintain compliance with infection-control policies and sterile technique standards. Collaborate closely with the Interventional Radiologist, nursing staff, and other members of the clinical team. Our outpatient procedural practice performs a variety of interventional and vascular procedures, which may include: Peripheral angiography and vascular interventions Arterial and venous procedures Genicular artery embolization Prostate artery embolization Uterine fibroid embolization Hemorrhoidal artery embolization Varicocele embolization Musculoskeletal embolization procedures Venous interventions Other minimally invasive vascular and embolization procedures Qualifications Prior hands-on experience in Interventional Radiology, vascular surgery, cardiac catheterization, endovascular procedures, or a similar procedural environment strongly preferred . Prior experience scrubbing into procedures and assisting physicians at the sterile field strongly preferred. Must be comfortable handling wires, catheters, sheaths, needles, balloons, and other procedural devices . Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection-control practices. Ability to anticipate procedural needs and work efficiently alongside the physician. Familiarity with IR and vascular procedural supplies and inventory preferred. Surgical Technologist, Cardiovascular Technologist, IR Technologist, Cath Lab Technologist, or similar procedural background welcomed. ARRT certification is not required for this scrub-only position. Current BLS certification required . Position Requirements Dependable and professional. Comfortable working closely with the physician during procedures. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to work independently once familiar with practice workflow. Ability to remain organized and calm during procedural cases.
