Alternating weekends and holidays required Position Overview The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging equipment, and collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to support diagnostic services. The ideal candidate will have prior acute care MRI experience and hands-on experience working with GE MRI equipment. Key Responsibilities Perform MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures. Operate and maintain MRI equipment safely and efficiently. Screen patients for MRI safety requirements and contraindications. Produce high-quality diagnostic images. Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout procedures. Document procedures accurately within the EMR system. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams. Follow infection control and hospital safety protocols. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care setting Associate's Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program Valid New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Radiologic Technologist License Current MRI certification and registration through one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT ) American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists ( ARMRIT ) Experience with MRI equipment
