Qualifications:

Valid certification as a MRI Technologist (ARRT MRI certification preferred) Demonstrated experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical environment New York State Radiologic Technologist license (current and in good standing) Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association Strong understanding of MRI safety standards and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and work collaboratively with medical professionals

Duties Include:

Performing high-quality MRI scans according to physician orders and protocol specifications Explaining procedures and providing compassionate care to patients throughout their scan experience Assessing images for diagnostic quality and submitting studies for physician review Maintaining and calibrating MRI equipment for optimal performance and safety Ensuring adherence to all hospital and regulatory safety requirements Documenting procedures and maintaining accurate electronic health records Assisting radiologists and collaborating with fellow technologists and nurses
