Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients in an urgent care setting. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in operating various imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, and PET scan technologies. The X-ray Technician will ensure patient safety and comfort while delivering accurate diagnostic evaluations. Responsibilities Perform X-ray examinations with precision and accuracy to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions. Operate CT and PET scan equipment as needed for comprehensive diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort. Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and assist in diagnostic evaluations. Keep detailed records of patient information, imaging procedures, and results. Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and techniques, including nuclear medicine and sonography. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly through regular maintenance checks. Qualifications Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic imaging. Experience in urgent care settings is preferred but not required. Familiarity with various imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, PET scans, nuclear medicine, and sonography. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
