Job Description

As an Advanced CT Technologist at Mercy, you will perform complex CT imaging exams in a fast-paced healthcare setting, supporting accurate diagnosis and lifesaving care. You'll operate advanced CT technology, optimize scan protocols, and ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout each procedure. Working within Healthcare & Medical Services, you'll collaborate closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Perform advanced CT procedures following Mercy and industry protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic images. Assess patients, explain procedures, and monitor for safety and comfort throughout imaging exams. Operate and troubleshoot CT scanners and related imaging software, optimizing technical parameters. Administer IV contrast safely, following radiation safety and infection control standards. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support accurate, timely diagnoses. Review images for quality, completeness, and artifacts, repeating or adjusting scans as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, JC). Participate in continuous learning, protocol optimization, and adoption of new CT technologies. Support orientation and mentoring of new technologists and students as needed. Contribute to Mercy's culture of compassion, diversity, and respect in all patient and team interactions.
