Job Description

Mercy is seeking an Advanced CT Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this on-site role, you will perform complex CT exams, optimize imaging protocols, and ensure strict adherence to radiation safety standards. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support accurate, timely diagnoses while providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Perform advanced CT imaging exams following physician orders and safety protocols Operate and troubleshoot CT scanners and related imaging equipment Assess patients, explain procedures, and monitor for contrast reactions Ensure radiation safety and proper dose optimization for all exams Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers for accurate diagnoses Verify patient identification and imaging orders within the EMR/RIS/PACSMaintain detailed, timely documentation and imaging records Support on-call, weekend, or evening coverage as needed Assist with training and mentoring new or junior technologists Contribute to quality improvement and accreditation initiatives Required Skills CT scanning protocols Cross-sectional anatomy Radiation safety and dose optimization IV contrast administration Patient assessment and positioning
