Job Description
Mercy is seeking a Senior CT Technologist to perform advanced CT imaging studies, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results and exceptional patient care. You will operate CT equipment, follow radiation safety protocols, and collaborate with radiologists and care teams. Responsibilities include patient preparation, image evaluation, troubleshooting equipment issues, and mentoring junior technologists. Responsibilities Perform advanced CT scans according to physician orders and protocols Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning during procedures Apply radiation safety standards and infection control practices Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment and related systems Review images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists Document procedures accurately in PACS/RIS and electronic records Coordinate with multidisciplinary care teams to support patient care plans Mentor and support junior technologists and assist with training initiatives Required Skills CT imaging Radiologic technology Radiation safety Patient positioning IV contrast administration Image quality assessment
