Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our medical imaging team in a flexible part-time capacity. This role is ideal for a motivated imaging professional seeking a consistent yet flexible schedule, typically working 1-3 days per week while performing approximately 100 CT scans per month in an outpatient private practice setting. In this vital role, you will operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. You will work closely with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow, exceptional patient care, and adherence to all safety and imaging protocols. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment with flexibility and autonomy. Schedule & Work Environment Flexible work schedule, typically 1-3 days per week Approximately 100 CT scans performed monthly Outpatient private practice setting No hospital call requirements or overnight shifts expected Duties Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining procedures, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring comfort throughout the imaging process Operate CT imaging equipment and adjust technical settings to optimize image quality based on physician and radiologist requirements Maintain patient safety standards and follow all radiation safety, aseptic technique, and infection control protocols Administer contrast agents when necessary, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and respond appropriately to patient needs during procedures Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and clinical staff to support timely diagnostic evaluation and continuity of care Maintain accurate documentation of imaging procedures, patient records, and technical imaging parameters in compliance with regulatory and practice standards Ensure imaging equipment is maintained appropriately and report equipment concerns or service needs promptly Assist with workflow coordination and scheduling to support efficient outpatient imaging operations Provide compassionate, professional patient care while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times Qualifications Current certification as a CT Technologist and applicable state licensure/certification required Proven experience operating CT scanners in a healthcare or outpatient imaging setting Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and medical terminology related to diagnostic imaging Experience administering contrast media and monitoring patient response preferred Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with providers and staff Prior outpatient imaging, urgent care, or hospital-based radiology experience preferred Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and patient service orientation Demonstrated ability to maintain high-quality imaging standards in a fast-paced clinical environment Benefits Flexible scheduling Supportive team environment Opportunity for long-term part-time employment in a growing private practice Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Join our team and help provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a patient-centered outpatient environment where your expertise and flexibility are highly valued.
