Job Description

UPMC is seeking a Lead CT Technologist to support the CT Scan department at UPMC Hanover to support hospital and 2 off-site locations.

Full-Time Schedule:
Days - Opportunity for 5 8-hour shifts, or 4 10-hour shifts. Rotating holiday and on-call required Generous $20,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible new hires
Purpose:
In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, coordinates workflow, assists with projects and coordinates educational activities. Functions as a working technologist and distributes workload to ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced technologists and communicates results back to departmental leadership. Performs all responsibilities of CT Tech I and Advanced CT Tech II. Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame. Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary. Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs. Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews. Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.
