This role offers the opportunity to operate modern equipment, manage your own schedule, and enjoy the support of a robust network. If you thrive on route driving, load & unload operations, and handling freight with precision, this is your chance to elevate your trucking career. Safely operate flatbed trucks equipped with manual transmissions across designated routes Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo safety and security Securely tie down loads using appropriate equipment and techniques for flatbed cargo Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards Navigate routes effectively, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and load status Manage documentation related to freight, delivery receipts, and compliance records
Requirements:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record Minimum of 6 months of recent DOT-regulated driving experience within the last year Coil certification & rack TWIC Card Physical capability to load & unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as needed Be Part of Something Bigger at Universal Logistics
