Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract Advance your career delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic imaging department as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist. This contract opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, supporting physicians and medical staff in performing a wide array of interventional radiology procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
ARRT (R) certification required; additional IR certification highly preferred Minimum of 1 year experience as an IR Tech or in a similar imaging modality Proficiency with interventional radiology equipment and sterile technique Solid knowledge of radiation safety and contrast media administration BLS certification (current and active) Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a patient-centric, team-based setting
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients and equipment for interventional radiology procedures, maintaining sterile fields and ensuring patient safety throughout Operate a variety of imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, to support complex diagnostic and therapeutic interventions Monitor patient conditions and vital signs, reporting changes to the medical team as needed Document all procedures, including patient information and equipment usage, in compliance with facility and regulatory standards Assist physicians during imaging-guided procedures and provide patients with education on post-procedure care Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control measures, and departmental guidelines This contract role offers a valuable opportunity to work alongside skilled healthcare professionals and impact patient outcomes in a rewarding clinical setting.
