1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift assignment requiring SC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ICU/Stepdown experience. Details Stepdown unit setting with 1:4 patient ratios Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Holiday rotation required Floating required within scope to sister units/facilities, with agency staff floated first Epic EMR used, experience preferred Requirements Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only) NIHSS certification preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience required Driver's license and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Provide stepdown-level nursing care including cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and post-procedure care Skills such as central/PICC line management, IV therapy, ventilator care, and wound care may be utilized depending on patient population Scrub color is royal blue Free parking available Facility may assign staff to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September) First-time travelers accepted if they have prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted for the travel rate All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration Block scheduling requests may be considered but are not guaranteed
