Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an experienced Imaging Professional skilled in Interventional Radiology (IR Tech) to support patient care in a contract role. This position involves utilizing advanced imaging technology to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
Current certification or registry in Interventional Radiology Technology (ARRT or equivalent) Previous experience working as an IR Tech, with a strong foundation in imaging procedures Knowledge of sterile technique and radiation safety protocols Proficiency with imaging equipment, including digital and fluoroscopic systems Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, operate, and maintain interventional radiology equipment for imaging procedures Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals before, during, and after interventional procedures Assist with patient preparation and provide clear explanations of procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation Monitor patients and equipment for safety and proper function throughout procedures Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and equipment logs Uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality Support patient recovery post-procedure and provide necessary instructions This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking to deliver high-quality radiologic care while expanding their skill set in a dynamic clinical environment.
