13-week contract Ideal candidates should have: Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience ARRT certification required BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of travel experience preferred/required per job description Extensive Operating Room (OR) experience required O-Arm experience required/preferred Level I Trauma hospital experience preferred Experience with Siemens and GE equipment preferred TN license or Compact license required at the time of submission Job Description The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to obtain high-quality images for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The technologist operates radiologic equipment, follows established safety protocols, and works closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team. Duties and Responsibilities The X-Ray Technologist is expected to perform safe and accurate diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of the Radiology department. Specific duties may include but are not limited to: Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established protocols. Provide extensive OR imaging support, including intraoperative procedures. Operate and assist with O-Arm imaging equipment. Prepare patients for procedures, explain examinations, and ensure patient comfort and safety. Properly position patients and operate radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images. Follow radiation safety procedures and maintain appropriate radiation protection measures. Work with Siemens and GE radiographic equipment. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Collaborate with radiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Assist with imaging needs in the ED, inpatient, outpatient, OR, and portable settings as required. Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Recognize and report equipment issues or abnormalities to the appropriate personnel. Maintain professional conduct and protect patient confidentiality. Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. Follow all department, hospital, and client facility policies and procedures. Maintain consistent attendance to meet patient and facility needs. Working Conditions The X-Ray Technologist works in a fast-paced hospital and Level I Trauma Center environment, providing diagnostic imaging services in areas including the Operating Room, Emergency Department, inpatient, outpatient, and portable X-ray settings. The position requires adherence to established radiation safety protocols and may involve exposure to ionizing radiation, infectious or communicable diseases, blood and bodily fluids, and other healthcare-related environmental conditions. The technologist must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and may frequently bend, reach, twist, kneel, and reposition patients or imaging equipment. The role may also require assisting with patient transfers and moving portable imaging equipment. The X-Ray Technologist must be able to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, maintain attention to detail, follow established procedures, and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Additional Requirements Weekend coverage is required. No on-call requirement. Floating within scope may be required to ED, inpatient, outpatient, OR, and portable X-ray areas. Locals are accepted at the same rate. Travel partners are allowed. RTO must be provided at the time of submission. Two references are required and may be pending at submission.
