In this vital role, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to produce detailed images of patients' internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and effective patient care. Your expertise in advanced imaging techniques, patient safety protocols, and medical equipment operation will ensure high-quality imaging services. Duties Operate MRI scanners to acquire high-resolution images for diagnostic evaluation, ensuring optimal image quality and patient positioning. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and maintaining patient safety throughout the scan. Perform additional imaging procedures such as CT scans, DEXA scans for bone density assessment, and sonography as needed to support comprehensive diagnostic services. Maintain strict adherence to equipment safety procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety regulations during all imaging activities. Assist with vascular access procedures and IV insertions when required, supporting various diagnostic interventions. Manage medical imaging data using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), ensuring accurate storage and retrieval of images for physicians. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to interpret images, provide technical support, and facilitate diagnostic radiology workflows. Qualifications Proven experience operating MRI scanners with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles and anatomy knowledge. Certification or licensure in radiologic technology or related field is preferred; relevant certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and specialized MRI credentials. Proficiency in performing CT scans, DEXA scans, sonography, and vascular access procedures is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques essential for accurate image acquisition. Ability to follow strict patient safety protocols, aseptic techniques, and equipment safety procedures diligently. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care. Familiarity with medical equipment operation, picture archiving systems (PACS), and radiology information systems is required.
