We are currently seeking a motivated and patient-focused Medical Assistant with an active NCT (Non-Certified Technician) license to join our evening team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking for a stable part-time evening schedule in a fast-paced and supportive clinical environment. The Role As a Medical Assistant and NCT, you will be a vital part of our evening clinical team. You will be responsible for standard clinical support—such as rooming patients and taking vitals—operating our X-ray equipment safely, and serving as a point of contact for our patients over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:
Radiology Duties:
Perform X-ray imaging safely and accurately following provider orders. Maintain all X-ray equipment and ensure compliance with state radiation safety regulations.
Patient Intake:
Greet and room patients, record accurate medical histories, and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration).
Patient Communications:
Answer incoming patient calls, assist with general inquiries, schedule or adjust appointments, and relay messages between patients and providers.
Clinical Support:
Assist providers with basic medical procedures, wound care, and point-of-care testing as needed.
EMR Management:
Accurately document all patient encounters, lab results, and imaging in AdvancedMD.
Facility Maintenance:
Ensure exam rooms and the X-ray suite are sanitized, fully stocked, and prepared for incoming patients.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Licensure:
Active and unrestricted NCT (Non-Certified Radiological Technician) license in the State of Texas is absolutely required .
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is strongly preferred.
Certifications:
Current CPR/BLS certification required.
Experience:
Previous experience in an urgent care, primary care, or fast-paced clinic setting is highly preferred.
Skills:
Exceptional patient care and communication skills, strong telephone etiquette, attention to detail, and proficiency with EMR systems (experience with AdvancedMD is a plus). Why Join Us?
