Responsibilities Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols and physician orders Position patients safely and comfortably while explaining procedures and answering questions Operate MRI scanners and related imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality Screen patients for safety contraindications and follow MRI safety policies Monitor patients during exams and respond appropriately to any complications Document procedures accurately in electronic health record and imaging systems Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians to support accurate diagnoses Maintain cleanliness, function, and quality control of MRI equipment and work area Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance standards Participate in ongoing training to stay current with MRI technology and best practices Required Skills MRI scanning and protocols Patient positioning and immobilization MRI safety screening and procedures Contrast administration and IV placement (per scope) Use of PACS/RIS and EHR systems Anatomy and cross-sectional imaging knowledge Radiologic physics and image quality optimization Infection control and patient safety Radiology workflow in hospital/clinic settings Effective communication with patients and clinical teams
