Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. In this role, you will operate radiographic equipment, position patients safely, and follow physician imaging orders while maintaining strict radiation safety and infection control standards. You will verify patient identification, explain procedures, and ensure images meet diagnostic quality for accurate interpretation. The technologist collaborates closely with radiologists, nurses, and providers, documents procedures in the EMR, and supports a compassionate, patient-centered care experience aligned with HCA's mission and values. Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams per physician orders Safely operate and maintain radiologic equipment and imaging systems Position patients correctly and ensure comfort while following radiation safety protocols Verify patient identity and medical history; explain procedures and obtain cooperation Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and repeat images as needed Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support patient care plans Document procedures, contrast use, and patient information in the EMR accurately Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards Adhere to regulatory, accreditation, and HCA Healthcare policies and procedures Support patient-centered culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous learning Required Skills Diagnostic radiography Radiation safety and ALARAPatient positioning Operation of radiologic equipment
