Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of a staff radiographer, the Radiology Tech Student will aid in radiographic positioning, transferring, and transporting patients, cleaning patient care areas, and assist with documentation.Job Specific:
Assumes responsibility for designated area of work and procedures as required for routine or special assignments. (EF) Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of assigned work area. (EF) Secures and stocks supplies as appropriately needed. (EF) Applies age-specific needs in the assessment, treatment, or care of patients.Hospital:
Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures. Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations. Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital's Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines. Performs within professional Scope of Practice at all times.Other Duties As Assigned:

Required:
High School graduate or equivalent. Actively enrolled and in the second year of a Radiology Technology program.EXPERIENCE
Required:
Clinical knowledge of general radiographic proceduresSPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required:
Interpersonal skills necessary to successfully engage with physicians, providers, patients, co-workers, and visitors.LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Required:
License with ARRT- The American Registry of Radiology Technologist; must be obtained within 3 months of graduation License with TMB
- Texas Medical Board; must be obtained 3 months of graduations Current BLS from AHA
- The American Heart of Association
