This role is vital in delivering expert medical imaging services in a fast-paced emergency environment. The CT Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring clear, accurate imaging results. Responsibilities Operate CT imaging equipment to perform scans necessary for diagnostics following physician's orders. Assess patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort during scans. Process, analyze results, and support physicians by providing critical imaging data. Participate in maintaining the radiology department's certification standards concerning environmental, safety, and infection control issues. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide holistic care. Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures to meet healthcare compliance and licensing regulations. Required Skills Proficiency in operating CT imaging technology Knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication system (PACS) Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Excellent patient management and communication skills Ability to stay organized under pressure in an emergency department
