The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Diagnostic Imaging Tech I to perform high-quality imaging exams that support accurate diagnosis and patient care. In this role, you will prepare and position patients, operate advanced imaging equipment, follow safety and radiation protection standards, and document procedures in the electronic health record. You'll collaborate with radiologists and care teams in a collaborative, academic medical environment that values learning, inclusion, and evidence-based practice while serving diverse communities across Vermont and northern New York. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic imaging procedures following physician orders and established protocols Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and radiation protection standards Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality, accurate images Verify patient identity, review histories, and document procedures in the electronic health record Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment in a clean, safe, and ready state Follow infection control, regulatory, and quality assurance guidelines Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families about imaging procedures Required Skills Diagnostic imaging operation Patient positioning Radiation safety Cross-sectional anatomy knowledge
