Summary Providing operational support within the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Position Reports To:
Radiology Manager Essential Functions Documents releases in EHR, prepares CDs for mailing, pushes exams to requesting designation through PACS and AMBRA (DICOM medical image management system for routing and managing diagnostic medical image files, clinical reports and patient information). Imports exams from other facilities digitally and occasionally imports CDs as needed for physicians and comparison exams. Maintains PACS work list, exams and orders, including corrections as needed. Completes legal requests for imaging. Prepares imaging packets and files for conferences. Run reports in EHR for Quality Assurance and to make sure all tasks are completed. Sends out recommendations for follow-up exams at Confluence Health and fax results to outside providers as needed. Calls reports to physicians as requested and fax other reports as needed. Manage the reading room schedules and assignments. Responds to calls from patients and provider offices, offering assistance as needed. Handles email communication with patients and provider offices, including both sending and responding to messages. If working in a mammography department, prepares future mammography documentation workflow including: Proofread Radiologist results and enter bi-rad into EPIC to create a result letter. Send mammography result letters to patients as required by law. Makes calls to request comparison mammography exams from external facilities. Attends department meetings. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.
Qualifications Required:
High School or GED. Typing skills. Basic computer skills. Attention to detail.

Clerical and/or medical experience. Courses specific to clerical work. Some medical terminology. Physical/Sensory Demands O = Occasional, represents 1 to 25% or up to 30 minutes in a 2 hour workday.
